To Boldly Go To Wolf Trap
thattodd, akrissy, spiffnolee and I went on a double date to see the National Symphony Orchestra do selections from science fiction movie and television soundtracks and then do all of Holtz the Planets with images from NASA and introductions by Leonard Nimoy.

It was as wonderfully geeky as it sounds. Lee and I held eachother during the Star Trek themes medley a cried on eachother at the end. The theme from ST:TNG was the recessional at our wedding. Going to this concert was like renewing our wedding vows.

Also, Emil de Cou loves his job. He gives energy and excitement to conducting. Watching him conduct his orchestra and you can feel his adoration of music and what he is doing. He is enthused and it was contagious. It did not hurt that he was a complete drooling fan boy over Mr. Nimoy who took it with great poise and grace. He even did the hand gesture and wished us all to "Live Long and Prosper."
